Black Orchid Coffee Company has its roots in me and my wife. We are both avid travelers and coffee explorers that have traveled the world tasting, brewing and sampling different blends of coffee. Through our travels we have searched for a blend that is bold, exciting, and mind-bending in flavor. We found this blend in the cool, lush central forest highlands of Vietnam. It’s an area that compares to the Andes Mountain region in Colombia with El Dorado, only this area is known for its hidden mythical coffee groves that are comparable to the mythical city of gold. This is due to the regions difference in temperatures between night and day combined with its high humidity and rich soil composition, making it the ideal area for Vietnamese coffee to grow and thrive in the wild.
After tasting the coffee from this area we decided to try and import coffee from this region. My wife and I found a coffee supplier that was willing to blend several beans for an individual taste. After several attempts we settled and said we finally found the one. This cup of Vietnamese coffee was like having a whole festival of flavors in our mouth that left us speechless and feeling Zen in its balance of bold yet mellow flavor with slight hints of chocolate and caramel under tones.
This extraordinarily blend of Vietnamese coffee beans found in this region not only transforms your palette, but deepens your soulful bond beyond an ordinary cup of Joe. After this experience, my wife and I knew we needed to bring this to the states to share with people the true soul of Vietnamese coffee.
Through this journey we founded The Black Orchid Coffee Company, and several months later began importing this blend of Vietnamese coffee from the central forest highlands of Vietnam. It’s been quite an adventure for me and my wife, but we know that this blend of Vietnamese coffee will be as special to you as it is as special to the two of us.
